Company Profile
AESUS Design Group is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business founded in March of 2014 by Orlando Gonzales and David Combs. Since then, our company has grown from David and I to 12 employees. Our firm has the capability to work on Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical projects. Although we work on a multitude of projects including commerical, hospitality, industrial, and healthcare, our expertise is working on VA Medical Centers. Since the inception of our firm, we have designed projects on three separate campuses including Phoenix, AZ, Ft. Harrison, MT, and Bonham, TX. These projects include architecture, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection design.

Orlando Gonzales
Orlando Gonzales is a registered mechanical engineer in multiple states. He has experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler design for new construction and renovation projects for a variety of building types. These projects include Industrial Buildings, Healthcare Facilities, Religious Facilities, Historic Theatres and Performing Arts Centers, Data Centers, Commercial Buildings, and Educational Facilities.
Mr. Gonzales’ experience includes: chilled and heating water central plant design with heat recovery; constant and variable pumping systems; constant and variable air distribution systems including under-floor air distribution systems, computer room systems, and displacement ventilation; chilled and condenser water piping systems; variable refrigerant flow; laboratory exhaust systems and control; plumbing and fire protection systems; process piping systems; energy modeling and economic analysis for the purpose of LEED submittals.
David Combs
David Combs is a registered architect in the state of Arizona. He has diverse professional experience spanning the entire spectrum of the construction and design industry. With eight years of work with general contracting and a professional degree in architecture, he maintains an outstanding attention to detail and functionality that is then applied to the design process. In addition, he offers great team and leadership skills, along with a very energetic work ethic to meet heightened challenges. His background allows him to guide projects from schematic design to final construction documents through construction administration.
While Mr. Combs’ primary focus has been Healthcare design, he has experience in multiple building types including; medical office buildings (MOB), corporate office, retail, veterinarian clinics, multi- and single family residences. As a project director, David has successfully taken projects from schematic design to completion while maintaining a successful working relationship with clients, contractors, and consultants.
